These are the funniest books on my 2021 reading list and I loved every single one. It’s almost too good to be true that so many of these are part of a series but it’s true. Click on any book cover to go to the full review.

The entire series The Bad Luck Club is hilarious, but Fraudulently Ever After (book 3) is my favorite so far, although book 4 is now on my kindle so that could change at any moment.
Tina’s inner monologue had me in stitches and the banter between Zach and Tina was perfect. There’s a large supporting cast in this story which created openings for lots of zingers, too.

The Playboys of Sin Valley series is one of my favorites and Playing House is my favorite so far. It’s close because I’ve loved all the stories and characters but Jace and Sera are the most fun.

There aren’t a lot of authors who can pepper their romantic suspense mafia stories with comedy, but JT Geissinger does it masterfully in Savage Hearts. Riley is hilarious and Mal is so uptight at first, he has no idea what to make of her. Nor do any of the other characters really, but they all love her.

Nobody does rom-com quite like Max Monroe and they’re at their best with the Winslow Brothers. I didn’t think anything could beat Jude and Sophie’s story after reading The Bet, but I loved Flynn and Daisy’s story in The Pact every bit as much. I may even like Flynn just slightly better than Jude even though they’re both book boyfriend material. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, which I believe will be Ty’s story.

Doctor Scandalous is the perfect start to a series because it’s sweet, funny and steamy. Oliver and Amelia’s story is my favorite so far but Carter and Grace (Doctor Mistake) are also great. One of the things I love about this series is that the author gets it right when it comes to the inner workings of a hospital and what it’s like to work there but keeps things light and works in a lot of great humor.

Winning Mr. Wrong is laugh out loud funny and handles the reality show plotline perfectly.

The Bareback Cowboy is one of the best books of the year. The snarky banter between Quinn and Trace is epic yet they’re still oh so romantic and steamy. I love everything about these characters and their story.

This story gets heavy in some places but Rebel North is hilarious in others. I love the seamless banter between Kingston and Gabby because they play so well off of each other, it’s clear they’re meant to be together.

Everything about Bad Cruz is comedy gold, from the whiny self-absorbed bridezilla sister to the caricatures of townsfolk. But the best thing about it is the banter between Tennessee and Cruz. Their hate-love-hate relationship is the best and I love watching it unfold.
