Review: The Enemy of My Enemy Is . . . My Fake Boyfriend? by Jenna Fiore

When I discover that my fiancé is a lying, cheating pig, I’m absolutely shocked… and devastated. I’m in for even more of a shock when his arch enemy, a man with sinful eyes, approaches me with a proposition—dating him to get back at my ex. No way is that a good idea.

But one drunken night, I finally relent and say yes to his crazy plan. You know… the enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that.

Getting sweet revenge on my jerk of an ex is an absolute blast. But one thing I didn’t see coming? This odd alliance turning into something more. Or am I just fooling myself again?

Aria catches her boyfriend cheating with her friend and she just shuts down. She automatically switches to avoidance mode and flees, desperate to get far away from the people she thought she could trust. Her night goes from bad to worse as she faces one disaster after another then she’s rescued by the last person she ever expected to see again: her ex’s lifelong enemy, Ethan. He’s the last person she should trust so while she accepts a ride home, she quickly turns down his offer of a fake relationship. He has a point, since nothing would make her ex more jealous, but Aria just wants to put this all behind her. Until she sees the article portraying her ex as a victim, the one where he spins a yarn about the wealthy socialite cheating on him and breaking his heart.

Ethan’s offer suddenly has appeal because Aria is out for revenge. She’s cautious at first but it doesn’t take long for her to realize that Ethan was the victim, not the bully in her ex’s life, just like Aria. Their chemistry is obvious from the moment their eyes first meet and despite seeming like opposites on the surface, they become fast friends. I loved the characters so much and adored them together. Their story is funny and sweet with plenty of spice, and I couldn’t put it down. This is a fun world so I’m hoping we’ll get Aria’s sister’s stories as well; it would be a fun series.
