Review: All This Time by Harlow James

Fletcher Adams is not just the man that stole my heart at fifteen and never gave it back.

He’s also my brother’s best friend, and now one of the most famous players in the NFL.

But now he’s back in Blossom Peak for our mutual friend’s wedding, and guess who are the maid of honor and best man?

That would be us.

I’ve spent the past twelve years ignoring what happened between us that fateful night, and avoiding him as much as possible when he did pop into town to visit.

But now he’s everywhere.

In my salon getting a massage to support my business.

Participating in yoga to support my family’s winery.

And even hacking into my phone to monitor my glucose—which makes me furious and also a little bit weak in the knees.

Then he finds out that my ex-fiancé never satisfied me in the bedroom, so he instantly volunteers for the job.

Turns out time couldn’t snuff the flames that still burned between us.

But Fletcher has demons from his past he hasn’t faced, the kind that you can try to bury but always manage to get washed up in a storm.

And this storm just might destroy us both.

There’s one thing we can’t deny however, even though we try—feelings still matter, even after all this time.

Laney had the biggest crush on her brother’s best friend, Fletcher, growing up and for a brief time, she thought he might feel the same. But then he left her behind and she’s never forgiven him. Ignoring the pain and her anger at him has been easy enough for the last twelve years, but now they have to work together as the maid of honor and best man at their friend’s wedding and all the old feelings come rushing back. And I do mean all: not just the anger, not just the hurt, but the attraction and more, which she does not appreciate.

Fletcher is feeling all kinds of ways himself because seeing Laney again has opened up parts of him that have been locked down for so much of his life. He’s always had very strong feelings for her, but his friends made a pact that sisters are off-limits and although that was half a lifetime ago, he still feels the need to honor it. That’s proving to be more difficult than he imagined when Laney is right there next to him.

This is a little bit heartbreak, a little angst and lots of steam and it’s worth every minute. Laney and Fletcher are fun and real, and I loved their story. They’re surrounded by funny, sarcastic friends and it’s a great start to a new series. Henley’s story is next, and I can’t wait. I’d like to thank the author and The Author Agency for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
