When I really like a book, I usually post a review on retail sites and Goodreads. Reviews are critical for authors and often help me decide what to read next, so I appreciate them as a reader, too. But I read a lot of books, too many to review them all and when things are really hectic, I’ve got to keep it short. Rolé over at Hooked By That Book inspired me with her Quickie Reviews feature, so I present more mini reviews.

I knew Sutton and Cope’s story would be good, but it was even better than expected. They’re one of my favorite couples from the author, which is saying a lot, and I loved everything about their story: Sweet single mom, hot hockey god, plus plenty of heat and suspense. It was {{chef’s kiss}}.

Sparrow Falls book 3

This is my favorite of the series so far and I didn’t think anyone could outdo Sutton + Cope but these two did. Arden is a unique heroine in every way and I couldn’t get enough of her but Linc was a fast favorite, too. Their story is different and sweet with so much emotion and I loved everything about it.

I was shipping Ellie + Trace in the last book so was looking forward to this pair and they did not disappoint. Hot Sheriff single dad protecting his beautiful neighbor? Yeah, sign me up. This was the right balance of steamy and sweet with suspense and a fun kid. I loved everything about it.

Sparrow Falls book 5
Published July 2025
Grumpy small-town sheriff meets bubbly true-crime podcaster investigating a mystery in his town? Sign me up! This story had a lot of my favorite things, including amazing characters. Ridley + Colt were cute together, although I would’ve liked more tension. The mystery fell flat for me but the romance was fun.
