To stop a brutal mafia war, I’m forced to marry a man I left tied up in a hotel room seven years ago.
Griffin Quinlan, the new head of the Irish Mafia in Lower Manhattan, is as dangerous as he is gorgeous. Brutal and calculating, he’s the last person I ever expected to see again.
Seven years ago, one night of passion brought us together, but I walked away without looking back.
Or untying him.
Now, he’s my husband and wants revenge.
Our forced marriage is meant to seal the peace between the Irish and Greek mafia families—my brothers’ idea of a truce.
To Griffin, I’m nothing more than collateral, a pawn to control his enemies. But he has no idea I’m the same woman he once spent all night with twisting and sweating in the sheets.
The spark between us still burns hotter than the sun, but this time, I won’t be so easily conquered. Even while he’s indulging my darkest fantasies.
For six months, I’ll give him my body, and nothing more.
But with every touch, every blistering kiss to fool our enemies, I can’t deny I’m falling for him.
I thought I could see trouble coming from a mile away, but I never thought an enemy from my past would show up and destroy everything.
Or that Griffin would fight to keep me, no matter what it takes.
I am obsessed. This one was hard to put down and I loved every minute of it. Ava is the Greek mafia princess, and she thought her father loved her, but he was going to sell her to clear his debts the moment she turned eighteen. Her brother wouldn’t let that happen, so he gave her a new identity and forced her to join the navy. She was a true badass as Hadleigh Castille, even making it through SEAL training. Ava wants to go home and be an assassin for her brothers’ mafia empire, but she’s in for a surprise since her other brother has arranged a marriage for her. Again.
Griffin was security for the O’Rourke family, so he’s not new to the mafia world, but things have changed. He’s no longer working for a family; he’s now been tapped as head of one. It happens through a bloodline he and his brothers never knew they carried so it’s quite a shock, but agreeing to marry the Greek boss’s sister to end a mafia war wasn’t on his bingo card. He’s never expected to marry, he’s just not that kind of guy. Besides, he’s never really moved past the night years ago when he met the woman who ruined him for all other women: Hadleigh Castille.
Their story has everything: suspense, heat, secret identity and humor, it was exactly what I wanted and more. I loved these characters and this introduction to a new world so I can’t wait for more. I’d like to thank the author and The Author Agency for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
