When I really like a book, I usually post a review on retail sites and Goodreads. Reviews are critical for authors and often help me decide what to read next, so I appreciate them as a reader, too. But I read a lot of books, too many to review them all and when things are really hectic, I’ve got to keep it short. Rolé over at Hooked By That Book inspired me with her Quickie Reviews feature, so I present more mini reviews.
A new series from a favorite author? Sign me up! I adore the Tattered & Torn series, so was looking forward to Sparrow Falls and this did not disappoint. Rhodes and Anson are great. Their story has heart and heat with a mystery woven through and it’s everything I wanted.

I love a good enemies-to-lovers and this really delivered. Ruby and River have a super steamy hate-to-love-you vibe and I was here for all of it: the spice, the snark, the sweetness. This was a fun story I couldn’t put down.

I wanted to like the characters more, but Theo had OW drama and Claire needed to stand up for herself, so they were sort of frustrating. Their story held my interest enough to finish it but not enough to continue the series. It felt like important details were glossed over and the story seemed incomplete. Three and a half stars.
