When I really like a book, I usually post a review on retail sites and Goodreads. Reviews are critical for authors and often help me decide what to read next, so I appreciate them as a reader, too. But I read a lot of books, too many to review them all and when things are really hectic, I’ve got to keep it short. Rolé over at Hooked By That Book inspired me with her Quickie Reviews feature, so I present more mini reviews.
Let me start by saying I absolutely adored these characters & their story. This is a first love/unrequited love, brother’s best friend, second-chance romance so I expected a lot of angst but was pleasantly surprised.
I loved Kenna & Landon and everything about their story. Nobody does romantic suspense like Nicole Snow. There’s always a psychological component but not at the expense of action, which is plentiful, as per usual. I fell in love with the characters early on & couldn’t put this book down.

I absolutely loved this brother’s best friend, forbidden love story. Age gaps are often an ick for me, but this one didn’t bc I loved the characters so much, plus Stefan and Nadia were great together. This was one of the first books I read by the author and the one that made her a favorite.

The only thing he can think to do is call in reinforcements, so he hires Holland, his sister’s best friend, to be their travel nanny so the kid can accompany the NHL star. Reed & Holland fight the attraction between them until they can’t anymore, then things really heat up. This is a sweet & steamy friends-to-lovers with a cute kid & great characters.

I loved Sugar & Zack. She needed him to pretend to be her boyfriend for grad school admission & wasn’t starstruck by the hockey god like everyone else. He was impressed that hockey didn’t seem to matter to her & agreed. The fake relationship starts with a bang (or two), quite literally & all bets are off. This is a fun fling-to-forever with great characters & plenty of steam.
