He’s my eighteen-year-old son’s best friend, and I’m old enough to know better.
My marriage is falling apart, and Vander’s home life is tragic.
Yet, his broken parts speak to mine, and amid all the chaos, a true connection is formed.
The only peace I find is in those stolen moments when we share our darkest secrets and our deepest desires.
This thing between us has disaster written all over it.
But I’m powerless to resist the magnetic pull that draws us closer and closer.
Until lines are crossed, boundaries are broken, and everything I thought I knew about myself is undone.
This story is just, WOW. Kendall and Vander are amazing. They’re both so strong and they’ve overcome so much but life just isn’t fair. They’re soulmates through and through but there are so many obstacles in their way in this life, this book rips your heart right out. I usually don’t enjoy age gap but this one is different from anything you’ve ever read. There’s a spiritual element that takes it to another level and changes everything but there’s also suspense and serious heat. I love these characters and felt their pain because Siobhan Davis is a sorceress with words, captivating me and painting pictures in my mind.
There’s a lot of action in this story and I’ve struggled with how to write a review without being a spoiler so I’m not saying much. But I promise this book won’t just break your heart, it will also put it back together. I love the way it ended. I did have the biggest book hangover from it because the story is complex and intricate and just so beautiful. This is a must-read. I received an ARC from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review.
