All Ava McGrath wanted to do was save her family’s pub.
Even if that meant facing her best friend’s older brother.
But Cesar De Lucci wasn’t the man she remembered from long ago.
He’d become temptation in a three-piece Italian suit.
His piercing gaze unsettled her while each encounter with him stole her breath.
But Cesar’s shady connections to the mob might be Ava’s road to ruin.
The underworld tore her family apart, and her father still paid the price.
Ava should run.
Run far, far away.
Away from the insanity, intensity, and the reckless feelings spiraling between them.
Before the taste of his obsession became her addiction
Ava McGrath is tough and sassy and she’s my new girl crush. Cesar has the dangerous tough guy thing going on but she’s not intimidated by him at all, which amuses him to no end. She puts up a good fight against him for being bossy and possessive, but she loves every second of it. These two are so much fun together, mostly because of Ava’s stubborn independent streak. Their banter is fantastic and their chemistry is hot.
This isn’t your typical mafia romance, but I loved it. There’s a great cast of supporting characters and a lovely HEA. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
