This book is a rollercoaster ride, but in the best possible way. We open to a couple who seem to be deeply in love but just a few pages in, everything goes sideways. Grace is such a sympathetic character and her story gets more tragic with every chapter. Luciano isn’t the most likeable guy in the beginning but once he finally admits to his mistake, he’s all in and it’s clear he’ll do anything and everything possible to prove he’s a better man.
The romance is hot and the suspense just keeps building so this story has everything you want in a great mafia romance. In fact, the tension kept increasing to the point that I was getting impatient about how this was going to come together but the way the author brought it all to a head was just perfect. I was waiting for the MCs to have a confrontation but the information came out in a completely different way than expected and it was genius.
This was too good to put down so I had to read it all the way through, it just grabbed me from the first page. This was my first book by the author but certainly won’t be the last. I received an ARC from Grey’s Promotions in exchange for an honest review.
