Book Review: Mafia Handbook by Cayce Poponea

A man for hire. A woman with a target on her back. Two paths destined to collide.

Sebastian “Bash” doesn’t know the meaning of defeat. With a career bathed in secrets, he keeps his circle small and his personal life extremely private. When a favor to a friend forces him to go into hiding, will Bash be able to keep the relationship professional? Or will the cockiness he’s famous for ruin what could be the best thing to ever happen to him?

Milena Rossi is at her wits end. Years of running from a clever stalker has left her on the verge of being homeless, and trampling the one dream she has remaining. Can she trust the confident, yet conceited, Bash Kelly to help her? Or will her father’s legacy rear its ugly head once again?

This is a fast-paced, suspenseful story and I couldn’t put it down. Milena has been cyber-stalked for years and nobody can help her until Bash takes the case. They fight their attraction to one another as he tries to stop her stalker. I couldn’t get enough of this story and only wish it was longer. It’s fine the way it is but I just wanted more. I knew who the stalker was all along, except I was wrong. The book has some great twists and I found the supporting characters fascinating. This one is short and action-packed and definitely worth the time.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
