An ALC opportunity to listen to the first three books in a series over my holiday break? Well, Merry Christmas to me because that’s #1 on my list. And since I was such a good girl this year (ha!), I got the bonus of finding a new-to-me author to love so now I’m hooked on the rest of this series.
This is full of action and suspense, but the characters are what got me hooked from the start. Zach’s secrets pulled me right in and had me on the edge of my seat from the first minutes. Sofie and Zach’s story is sweet and suspenseful with lots of heart and spice. It also introduced the other characters, so I was impatient for the others’ stories before even starting them.
Each couple brings something different as Sofie and Zach are strangers, as are Kirilee and Sawyer, but they’re also Sofie and Zach’s besties so instant friends. Ava and Hutch are lifelong besties who eventually realize they’re more than friends. There’s a quirky town, a fun supporting cast and plenty of mystery to keep you guessing. I loved everything about it and can’t recommend it enough.
