Review: Off-Limits by JA Low

Chloe Jones is trying to put the scandal of leaving her Super Bowl legend fiancé at the altar behind her. No better way to escape than to turn her island honeymoon into a much-needed vacation with her girls.

What she wasn’t expecting was to meet a hot stranger. Don’t they say to get over somebody you need to get under someone else? Chloe’s ready for a fresh start, shame her vengeful ex is making it difficult for her.

That is until she lands the job of her dreams.

What she wasn’t expecting was to come face to face with the hot stranger from her island escape—Noah Stone, New York’s biggest playboy, and her new boss. Chloe can be professional even if all she can think about is those lips. And the way he fills out his suit pants.

He’s totally off-limits, and she’s signed the paperwork that says so.

Chloe is just hours from walking down the aisle when she goes to surprise her fiancé only to find her pregnant BFF riding him. They’ve been carrying on behind her back for months, the baby is his and this woman has been like a sister for most of her life. Chloe is completely blindsided and reeling with the shock of so much betrayal. She walks away without a word, leaving him astonished and humiliated at the altar. She goes on her honeymoon with her real friends and meets a gorgeous stranger who later turns out to be her new boss.

I loved the characters so much. Chloe is strong and independent, Noah is determined and possessive, these two were fire. Parts of the story felt a little choppy, like I missed something, so I’m still debating whether or not to grab the next book in the series. It was a little distracting, but the characters made it worthwhile so I’m leaning towards yes, I need to know what comes next. This was my first book by the author but probably won’t be the last.
