First Line Friday: Free Me by Ashley Rostek

This tag is hosted by Reading Is My Superpower.

Today’s book is Free Me by Ashley Rostek.

She’s as beautiful as I remember, I thought as I watched her walk out of school with her little friend, who had bright green and black hair. My Shiloh had colored hair as well. It was red like blood. It suited her. Blood had always suited her. Especially when it was smeared across her pale, soft skin.

Just envisioning it brought me back to the night I’d made myself her whole world. I had painted her with so much blood. Hers. Her sister’s. She had shed such beautiful tears as I’d severed the ties that kept her from me

About: This is the amazing conclusion to the WITSEC series and it feels as though we’ve been waiting FOREVER for it but it was worth the wait. I love everything about this series so I’m sad to see it end but I love the way it ended.

Blurb:

I’m tired.
I’m tired of running, tired of hiding, tired of always looking over my shoulder.
Now my guys must endure this too.
The clock is still ticking in my head.
I feel him circling, getting closer and closer.
The fear I carry is nearly suffocating. Not for me, but for my guys. I know what it’s like to have your family taken from you in the most brutal of ways. I won’t lose my family again. I will do whatever it takes to protect them. Even if that means I must face the monster who has haunted my nightmares and reality and kill him myself.
Please forgive me, my Stone boys.
I must do this to free you. And…to free me.

***Free Me is the final book in the WITSEC series.***
