Review: Caged by Bella Matthews

Why are the cocky ones always the hardest to resist?

Because this man . . . this man is temptation personified.
He’s six feet, four inches of rock-solid, golden muscles that are inked to perfection and proudly displayed every time he steps into the cage. And I’m the idiot who agreed to stay with him for the next few days.

Hudson “The King” Kingston knew he had a fight coming up when he risked himself to save me. How could I say no when he needed a friend to help him out?

Because that’s exactly what we’ve always been—friends.

Friends who flirt.
Friends who tease.
Friends who never cross that line.
Ever.

The problem is the more time we spend together, the more things shift between us.
But no matter how much I wish he could be my first, he’s never been a relationship guy,
and I refuse to settle for anything less.

I know I can trust him with my life, but can I trust him with my heart?

Hudson and Maddie’s story made me smile. They seem like polar opposites at first but they’re truly a perfect match. Maddie’s a little shy and on the quiet side, while Hudson the MMA champ is used to being the center of attention. They’re friends and nothing more despite his constant flirtation. Hudson’s a player, Maddie’s a good girl so neither has much hope for the obviously mutual attraction. But when they’re forced to spend a bit of extra time together, everything changes.

I love this world and these characters so much. It’s one of my absolute favorites so I was really looking forward to Hudson’s book. Carys and Cooper’s story was epic but left me wanting more and I’m glad it was these two. Their story is a sweet slow-burn and everything I wanted for these characters. There was plenty of heat with a touch of suspense and it’s absolutely perfect. I received an ARC from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review.
