First Line Friday: Find Me by Ashley Rostek

I haven’t done a book tag in forever so this week I jumped on First Line Friday after seeing it on Susan Love Books. This tag is hosted by Reading Is My Superpower.

My book is Find Me by Ashley Rostek, WITSEC book 1.

My feet felt cemented to the floor as I stood frozen by fear.

“Shi, run!” Shayla cried out just before Mr. X slid his knife across her throat, silencing her forever.

Blood poured like a crimson waterfall from her neck. Her gray eyes were wide, filled with terror as they bored into mine.

          I couldn’t move.

          I couldn’t look away.

With each passing second, I had to watch the spark of life within her eyes dim.

About the book: This series is amazing. The MC’s are still in high school but Shiloh is alone in the world since her family was murdered. Life starts to improve once she buys a house next door to the dirty Stone boys but Shiloh is still in danger. This is a super steamy reverse harem with enough suspense to keep you reading through the night instead of closing your eyes. This series is unputdownable.

One year ago…

My family is gone. My parents. My twin sister. All of them murdered by the man who has stalked me for years. He nearly killed me, too. But I got away and he’s still out there, searching for me. He won’t find me. At least, I hope not. Thanks to WITSEC, I’ve been given a new life with a new identity.

The present…

My uncle, my only living relative, has helped me glue myself back together and given me the tools I’ll need to survive. I’m not fixed and my grief is heavy, but I’m at a point where I can put one foot in front of the other to try to move on.

I know my future will be hard and lonely. I must stay strong and focus on the good. I’m getting a second chance at life. I am safe. My new home is beautiful. The four brothers who live next door are even more so. Little do I know that Colt, Creed, Keelan, and Knox will soon become my everything. It’s as if my lonely heart screamed out for someone good to find me. Four answered back.
