An Irish mobster with a brutal grudge.
An Italian mafia princess with a dark secret.
Two enemy empires joined in sacred marriage vows.
Let the hating games begin.
Reyna and Quinn are amazing. These characters pulled me in from the first page, especially Reyna because she’s such a badass. She’s been through hell and will stop at nothing to ensure her beloved niece doesn’t face the same fate with an arranged marriage of her own. Quinn isn’t a typical mobster at all. He’s willing to marry for money but wants his young bride to go to college and have a life of her own. The attraction between these two is off the charts but he’s marrying her niece. Besides Reyna hates him for that alone so there can never be anything between them.
She does all she can to stop the wedding but it’s inevitable and nothing works. Even being in love with another man won’t help Liliana escape her fate. But when her true love shows up to stop the wedding, the young lovebirds drop a bomb that changes everything. Alliances are in jeopardy and things are about to come to head so Reyna jumps in to salvage the situation by walking down the aisle in Lili’s place.
Despite swearing off men and insisting she’d die before marrying again, she makes the ultimate sacrifice for her niece. But what happens next? Quinn and Rey are electric. The tension between them is amazing and the banter is to die for. I loved everything about these characters both individually and together. He’s got a beautifully filthy mouth and the biggest heart so I liked Quinn more and more. I couldn’t put this one down and read it through at once, it’s that good. I received an ARC from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review.
