Everyone’s for sale, including me. One moment I’m the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I’m the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.
In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he’s brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It’s a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.
My husband.
Welcome to the Midnight Dynasty… The warring Morelli and Constantine families have enough bad blood to fill an ocean, and their brand new stories will be told by your favorite dangerous romance authors.
Perry and Charlotte’s story pulled me in from the first page. Things start off with a bang when Perry’s mother tells him he’s getting married to a complete stranger to form a powerful alliance with another family against a common enemy. He can’t believe this is happening. Poor Charlotte is even more shocked and appalled, but once she meets Perry, she realizes that even a stranger for a husband is an improvement over her current conditions. She’s not happy about it, but it’s an opportunity she has to take.
They’re determined to be free of their familial bonds but the lines start to blur as attraction blooms into something more. She doesn’t want to want him. He doesn’t want to feel protective and possessive of her. But they can’t control their feelings, only how they react to them. This is a slow-burn will-they-or-won’t-they and it’s so very good. I love the main characters and the action never stops. There’s also just enough suspense that the cliffhanger actually hurts so I can’t wait for whatever comes next. I received an ARC from Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.
