Men of Hidden Justice
Because love can bleed into the darkest heart
I found her when I least expected.
I should have let her go, but I couldn’t.
My world is too dangerous for her.
But she needs the protection only I can give her.
And without her life has no meaning.
For the first time in my life, I’m taking what I want—
consequences be damned.
I wanted more Men of Hidden Justice after The Boss, so I was looking forward to this book. Marcus and Missy’s story was brash and rough, not romantic and sweet like Matteo and Evie’s. Missy wasn’t cowering from being dragged into this crazy world, she was already part of it, and she wanted to stay involved. Marcus was overprotective considering her qualifications, but she set him straight, which was great.
He has this whole broody alpha thing going on and the team defers to him, but Missy doesn’t defer to anyone. It’s fun to watch her go head-to-head with him because it pushes Marcus out of his element and shows us another side of both characters.
Their romance works for me and I loved the suspense, but the mystery ended a bit too abruptly. I would have liked more focus on it before things went down but I still enjoyed the story very much and can’t wait for Julian’s book. Thank you to Gray’s Promotions for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
