When I really like a book, I usually post a review on retail sites and Goodreads. Reviews are critical for authors and often help me decide what to read next, so I appreciate them as a reader, too. But I read a lot of books, too many to review them all and when things are really hectic, I’ve got to keep it short. Rolé over at Hooked By That Book inspired me with her Quickie Reviews feature, so I present more mini reviews.
This started out light and funny, got steamy and then really broke my heart but also put it back together before the end. Eden and Becker are complete opposites and have various reasons to dislike one another at first, but the physical attraction gets to be too much. They try to fight it to no avail and end up having some fun but when they both return to Chicago and their daily lives, things get complicated. This story is an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s totally worth it. I absolutely loved the ending!

This book covers some of my favorites with an enemies-to-lovers story between stepsiblings. Angie is hilarious and while Gavin wasn’t my favorite at first, he completely redeemed himself pretty early on in the story. This is a sweet, steamy HEA and so much fun.

This book was such a lovely surprise. Best friends to lovers isn’t my favorite and this author is new to me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I loved everything about this story. Asher and Charis are great characters and their story is funny, sweet and has some heat. Highly recommended.

This is a sweet + angsty best friend’s brother story that’s cute, clean and a little bit boring. Zane was kind of a wienie, which made this lame for me. To be fair, I did finish it so it wasn’t the worst, but I kind of regret it now + wish I’d spent that time on something else.
