Years ago, I picked up the book Little Lies on a whim, having never heard of the author and not sure if I even liked NA as I was newish to romance as a whole. It’s a great story so I was happy to learn it’s a second-generation spin-off from an earlier series that began with Pucked . Of course, I dove right in and fell in love.
The first book introduces us to Violet and Alex, who remain one of my favorite couples to this day and book boyfriends everywhere are still competing with Alex Waters for a spot on the GOAT list. This series just captivated me from beginning to end and I couldn’t get enough of it, so I was happy to hear Helena Hunting is hard at work on a new hockey series that will debut this year.
I can’t wait to see what she has for us next. In the meantime, if you haven’t read Pucked and the others in this series, you are doing yourself an enormous disservice and must rectify it immediately. You’ll thank me later, I promise. After you get the whole gang’s story, there’s the All In spin-off series that starts with A Lie For A Lie, later followed by the Lies, Hearts and Truth series featuring the children of the Pucked couples. There’s even a series bible of sorts featuring deleted scenes, outtakes and just some generally excellent content for book junkies who love hard, Puck & Penalties.
