My 31 Poetry Challenge from Daisy Knox
poetry, Writing

Summer

Waves of sunny warmth
On a honeysuckle breeze

Cool grass licking softly
First a tickle then a tease

Petals unfurl in grandeur
Adorning all I see

Hummingbirds alight
Flitting through the leaves

Pollen wafts and nectar flows
For the bumblebee

Cloud formations soar
High beyond the trees

The bluest sky
Such clear delight
Nature's heard our pleas
