Poetry, Writing

Afternoon

A gentle smile
		Lopsided
	In the lilting breeze

Scents of summer
		Enveloping
	Chasing through the leaves

Like a pyrsamid
	Stood on end:

My focus points to
	Your crenter

Reeling
	Twirling
		Spinning

I turn

	The world blurs
			Around me

I trip and I yearn

Catch a limb to stand
	Reaching
		For your hand

Falling down
	On you completely

Have I always fought
	With gravity?

But in the sun
I find comfort

In the rays
The warmth is like heaven
Smiling on my day

In the cool grass
My cares fly free

Drowning
	In summer
		Made just for me
